Barracuda fishing laws are necessary to limit commercial and recreational anglers from taking too many in South Florida. They are plentiful but they do provide an essential role in the marine ecosystem of the state of Florida.
In some areas of the state of Florida there are regulations in place to limit the taking of these fish.
Please follow these laws and keep Florida’s fishery going strong. We’re in a fantastic place right now with some restrictions even being relaxed like with Goliath Grouper having an open season. I never thought I’d see that day!
Anyway, practice good conservation and think sustainability as you fish. Don’t keep what you won’t eat.
